Stephanie features quality satin underlay, covered with tulle and lace detailing over the top. The delicate floral lace design gives this gown a whimsical and extremely feminine feel to it. Also featuring mini clear sequins encrusted into the lace throughout the bodice and the skirt to enhance the gown’s beauty and add a subtle glimmer when it hits the light just perfectly.

Pretty lace sleeves.
The sleeves on this gown come to an elbow length, allowing for more free movement while you celebrate your big day but still giving you the look and feel of a full-length sleeve. The same lacing as on the bodice flows effortlessly down through the sleeves, ensuring you can see this stunning detailing throughout the dress. Sleeves have a tulle underlay with the lace sewn over the top, giving a soft and see-through effect to show off the lace design’s detail and beauty but still giving you the support and coverage of a long sleeve.

Lacing continues to trail down from the bodice into the skirt, giving a gradient effect whereby the bodice smoothly blends into the skirt, and there is no cut-off at the waist. Stephanie’s skirt uses layers of soft tulle to create a fuller A-line shape that provides all the whimsy and magic of a ballgown combined with the light and airy feel and look of an A-line.

High back bridal gown.
The high corset back of this gown provides extra modesty for brides who are conscious of showing too much skin and also allows for extra support to be provided without having to go through additional bodice alterations. The V neckline is also extremely flattering to any brides shape, and shows just enough chest without cleavage.

What to expect at your bridal appointment?

We recommend you make an appointment before visiting so we can have a consultant on hand just for you. Walk-ins are welcome, but a stylist may not be available to assist you in trying on. We will endeavor to organize the next available appointment with one of our consultants so you can enjoy the total experience. 

We also recommend bringing no more than 2-3 people with you on a Saturday. Remember, too many people with different opinions can make the process very confusing for the bride, and she may lose her natural instinct and sense of style and possibly choose a bridal gown that one of your guests thinks you should wear. 

The hour-long consult will give you plenty of time to try on different dresses in your size. There are many silhouettes to choose from in our Melbourne bridal shop. Every style includes fitted mermaid, A-line, and Ballgowns. Plus, formal bridal gowns or simple boho styles.  In that hour, you will not only have fun but learn a lot from our consultants—little pearls of wisdom to help you navigate the process.

 

Will my gown need alterations?

You may be one of the lucky ones born a standard stock size and not need any alterations. However, most of us aren't perfectly proportioned.  Some designs usually need some adjustment, possibly in at the bust and out at the hip or vice versa. Hemlines may need taking up.

You will need to bring the shoes you will be wearing on the day so the dressmaker can ascertain the perfect length for your gown.

If the design has a train, it may need to be bustled at the back to make it easier to party on afterward.   

All this fine-tuning takes place 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding and is an additional cost quoted before alterations start.
